If your system pulls water from a well or pond, you should check the main filter screen monthly during the peak season. If using city water, a semi-annual check (Spring and Fall) is usually sufficient to ensure continuous, clean water flow to the nozzles. 

You should inspect and clean your nozzles at least twice a year, ideally in spring and fall. If you use well water or pond water, monthly cleanings may be necessary to remove sand and algae. This ensures your spray pattern remains consistent and prevents dry brown spots.

A rain pipe uses nano-perforations to spray a gentle, rain-like mist over your garden. It operates efficiently at low pressure, making it ideal for delicate crops like leafy greens. It provides uniform coverage without damaging sensitive soil or young plants. 

Rain pipes are best for narrow garden beds and high-density crops that need gentle soaking. Sprinklers are superior for large lawns and orchards where you need to throw water over long distances. The best choice depends on your specific plant types and property size. 

You must schedule a Spring Start-up to check and program the system for the season. A Mid-season Check-up ensures all heads are properly aligned. Most critically, you need a full Winterization/Blow-out before the first frost to prevent pipe damage. 

Upgrade to a Smart Controller that uses local weather data (ET rate) to adjust watering automatically. Additionally, implement Cycle and Soak programming to prevent runoff, especially on slopes and clay soil.
